![]() ![]() Is this not how this works? The Twonky clients seem not to see my folder organization at all. I also was hoping to preserve a folder structure - for example, under Movies, I have a folder called "TV show 1" and under it, a bunch of episodes from that TV show. I thought I would dump my photos in the Photos subdirectory, and my videos in the Movies subdirectory, and the clients would see them respectively under each subfolder. I've made two subfolders under Multimedia: one for photos and one for movies. Maybe I'm using this incorrectly, as I'm not sure I understand what "indexing media types" is. > /Multimedia (including all subfolders), and have a photos entry on /Multimedia/Photos on top - which is covered already. > This looks feasible - however it's somewhat unclear why you index all media types in so you going to have to edit a file by hand. it isnt possible to do the from the twonky settings interface. Please cut&paste the output of these commands back to this message thread. Its not about linux skills, its about what is and isnt possible to do from the twonky settings interface. These commands will not only identify the file/folder names, but will also tell us the file permissions. So, some hours after I posted my original question, the files did show up for clients - does the server not look in those folders in real-time to know what to serve to clients, but has to index them (say, every few hours) to be prepared to show them to clients? If so, that would explain why I saw nothing after copying my files to /Multimedia, but the movie files showed up some hours later. ls -alF /share/Multimedia ls -alF /share/Multimedia/. > and run App Center installed Twonky QPKG - that's why Patrick's trick does partially work.Īh! I see "TwonkyMedia 7.2.5.2.0" in the App Center - is that the one you recommend instead? the majority of active community members does not run the firmware built-in legacy Twonky, Plenty of free options are available, while the free Plex software lets you unlock some nifty advanced features (such as music downloads and Plex’s iOS and Android apps) for 5 a month.
